Common failure modes of SDS tunnel jet fan support structure

During the load test of the fan support structure, any of the following situations shall be considered as unqualified, indicating that the fan support structure has been damaged:

(1) Cracks and falling blocks appear in the concrete around the embedded steel plate;

(2) Deformation, damage, loosening, and detachment of pre embedded steel plates;

(3) After loading, the displacement of the fan support structure continues to increase, and the load cannot maintain stability;

(4) Welding, deformation, damage, and detachment of the fan support structure welding components.

The most common form of damage is deformation, loosening, and detachment of embedded steel plates, during which concrete often cracks and falls off.
